The wolf has been around since the Middle Pleistocene. That's just over 800,000 years of canis lupus, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say boys who cry wolf are a considerably more recent phenomenon. Now, it's been so long since I first floated the idea of a Fretboard Confidential membership, it might as well have been the Middle or, heck, the Early Pleistocene, if they'd had one of those. And as various promised release dates proved to be one false alarm after another, I was beginning to feel positively Aesopian about the whole enterprise, and not in a good way.
