New Workshop: Travis Picking The Blues

The alternating-thumb style, also known as Travis picking, presents some very specific challenges when it comes to improvising on the twelve-bar blues form. In this workshop, I'll walk you through four main ideas for developing your alternating-thumb blues vocabulary: single-note licks in open position, chord-based licks in open position, chord-based licks up the neck, and licks based on chord substitutions and Freddie Green voicings.

This two-hour workshop, which takes place this Saturday, June 19th at 10:30am Central, includes downloadable PDFs, three months of streaming access to the replay and answers to your questions via live chat during the stream.
